🔌 Flash your board

Give a brand-new (or stuck) board its starter brain — straight from the browser, no programs to install.

⚡ One-click install

  1. Plug the board into this computer with a USB data cable.
  2. Press Connect below and pick the board's serial port.
  3. Choose Install OpenKniwwel Starter — the right firmware for your chip (ESP8266, ESP32 or ESP32-C3) is picked automatically.
This browser can't talk to USB devices. Please use Chrome or Edge on a computer (not a phone/tablet).
Also in the dialog: Logs & Console — watch what your board says over serial.

📶 After flashing: WiFi setup

The board starts its own hotspot on first boot. Connect to it with a phone or laptop and choose your WiFi at 192.168.4.1. Then the board shows its ID — add it in the block editor (⚙ gear) and you're off!

Improv-WiFi (typing the WiFi name right here in the browser) is planned — the board firmware needs a small update first.

🛟 Rescue

Board acting weird or bricked? Flashing here fully erases and re-installs it — the gentle factory reset.
